Mike is a true veteran of the Fargo business community. He has more than 15 years of commercial real estate experience, specializing in the downtown metropolitan office market. Mike was co-owner of Schlossman Commercial Real Estate (formerly known as Schlossman & Gunkelman) prior to the 2005 merger with GOLDMARK Commercial Corporation. Mike runs the downtown Fargo branch office of GOLDMARK SCHLOSSMAN. He is former owner and operator of Steffans Office Equipment.

Mike is a Fargo, ND native and graduate of North Dakota State University. He is active in a variety of volunteer/community organizations and local government. He has served as chairman of the Fargo Planning Commission, the Fargodome Authority, the Downtown Business Association, was president of Kiwanis Club, and a former director of the Chamber of Commerce and the local Red Cross chapter.
