Rick has been with GOLDMARK since its inception in 1981 and specializes in investment and development projects. In 1987, Rick led GOLDMARK's expansion into commercial property sales, leasing and development, working extensively on a variety of office and industrial projects. He spearheaded the development of the GOLDMARK Office Park campus and Home Office in Fargo, North Dakota.
Rick served as Vice President and Managing Broker of GOLDMARK Commercial Corporation until the merger in October 2005 with Schlossman Commercial Real Estate created GOLDMARK SCHLOSSMAN Commercial Real Estate Services Inc. He currently serves as Senior Vice President and is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM).
Rick is a graduate of North Dakota State University and has served on a variety of government and community organizations throughout his career. Rick has served in the North Dakota House of Representatives since 1984 during which time he has been House Majority Leader, Caucus Chairman and Chairman of various committees. During his legislative career, he has focused on Economic Growth and Education.
Rick is also active in many other organizations including serving as International President of Farmhouse Fraternity, past chairman of the Greater Fargo-Moorhead Economic Development Corporation, United Way, Hope Lutheran Church and the Chamber of Commerce. In 2009 he was appointed to the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation Board of Directors.
In 2009, Mr. Berg was awarded by the North Dakota Chamber of Commerce the “Greater North Dakotan Award” in recognition of his leadership in the Legislature and business community, and his work to promote the economic strengths of North Dakota. |
