Making a Positive Mark: 2017 School Supply Drive

Fargo team members and residents made a positive mark on the youth in the Fargo-Moorhead Community by conducting the most successful school supply drive GOLDMARK has ever hosted! All donations were given to the United Way of Cass-Clay as part of their city wide, annual school supply drive.

Each year, the United Way of Cass-Clay collects enough supplies to fill over 5,500 backpacks for area youth. With full backpacks in hand, students grades K-12 can start their school year with confidence and with all of the right supplies to focus and be successful.

With our “Make a Positive Mark” theme, we set out to contribute the largest donation of marker supplies and beat our last year total of 2,100 items.

We are excited to announce we collected 3,732 various school supplies, including 61 backpacks and 792 marker supplies for the youth in our community who may not otherwise be able to afford supplies.

In addition to the supplies collected by residents and team members, GOLDMARK sent 14 volunteers over the course of 3 days to contribute 32 hours of counting, sorting, and organizing the school supplies to help the United Way prepare for backpack distribution.

GOLDMARK couldn’t be more excited to help each year. Since our deadline, we have already received more donations to start off the 2018 collection!
