New Hire Experience Launches In Fargo
Our team members are the core of everything we do. From fixing a dripping faucet or showing an individual their new home, to making sure the balance sheets and ledgers are in order – we’re a close-knit team that strives to provide excellent customer service.
When someone new joins the team, we want to ensure they are greeted with the same service, kindness, and fun we strive to live out in our jobs daily.
With a new initiative to improve our new team member experience, we launched a new program to kick start everyone’s first day at Goldmark. On Tuesday, April 9th, eight new team members took part in the very first New Hire Experience!
The New Hire Experience is a day dedicated to learning and experiencing all things Goldmark in a fun and welcoming environment.
The morning kicks off with an icebreaker and introductions. Team members get to learn about who Goldmark is, what we do, and how we do it. It all starts with understanding our core values, who are customers are, and how we live out exceptional customer service in all we do.
After a break, new team members hear from the Human Resources Team about all of the benefits we have working at Goldmark. From our paid volunteer hours and wellness program to our awards and recognition programs – new team members are reminded why they chose to be apart of the Goldmark family.
During lunch, new team members get a chance to connect with their managers in a stress-free, welcoming environment and sometimes for the first time.
After lunch, everyone participates in a team building exercise before hearing an overview of Fair Housing laws and safety procedures. New team members are not alone once they get into their jobs. They are introduced and educated about the various departments and other resources available to them throughout their career at Goldmark. Home office teams including IT, accounting, marketing, and operations in addition to online learning tools make up a large support system for each team member.
The rest of the afternoon is spent understanding how joining the Goldmark team is more than just getting a new job, it’s starting a new career. New team members hear from current employees and hear about their career paths. They also learn how they can continue to grow professionally by obtaining certifications, designations, and participating in further training.
New team members are sent off with inspiration to create a better living in their own lives and the lives of their fellow team, residents, property owners, and community. Each new person that joins the Goldmark team is apart of a big family that is committed to creating a better living for everyone.
