MN RENTAL ASSISTANCE IS ON THE WAY

MN RENTAL ASSISTANCE IS ON THE WAY

If you have experienced financial hardship due to COVID-19 and need assistance to pay rent, utility bills, or additional housing related costs, you may be eligible for Emergency Rental Assistance.

RentHelpMN was created to help residents of Minnesota who have fallen behind on rent or fear that they might. Past-due or upcoming rent for up to 15 months since April 1, 2020 can be covered as well as additional fees applied by your landlord or eviction-related costs. Utility payments such as gas, electric, water/sewer, garbage/recycling, and other utilities as approved may be covered by this assistance program. Phone or internet services are not covered.

Applicants who have received other COVID-related rental assistance are still eligible for the RentHelpMN program. RentHelpMN cannot cover rent or utilites already paid for by another assistance program.

Download RentHelpMN's checklist to see if you or your household qualify and find out what documents you'll need in order to apply when applications open. Be prepared to apply as soon as this program launches by checking renthelpmn.org or calling 211 regularly, as funds are available on a first come, first serve basis!
