GOLDMARK team members in Bismarck took part in the Missouri Slope Areawide United Way’s Day of Caring by volunteering at the Dakota Zoo.
On one single day, over 1,000 region-wide volunteers work with United Way partner agencies and other organizations helping neighborhoods in need throughout the Bismarck-Mandan community.
GOLDMARK sent 19 team members to Bismarck’s Dakota Zoo to help clean up the grounds. From picking up dead foliage, to cutting down and hauling dead trees, everyone worked extremely hard to make the zoo beautiful and safe.
Corie, Area Manager for the Bismarck Region said, “It was 6 hours of hard manual labor, but it was a lot of fun to get out and play with chainsaws for the day!”
Team members were excited to take part in a day dedicated to community service. Everyone is looking forward to next year’s event!
