2018 Bell Ringing for the Salvation Army

Each year, all over the nation, the Salvation Army has thousands of volunteers ring bells in various locations including grocery and retail stores. In the Fargo-Moorhead area, bells are ringing 10,000 hours from November to December 24th.

In Fargo, 10 Team Members rang the famous bells for a few hours to help collect change for the Salvation Army at 3 Hornbacher’s locations in the FM area.

The Fargo Salvation Army assists the Cass and Clay County community in emergencies and offers a wide range of ongoing basic needs services whether it be physical, emotional, or spiritual help without discrimination.

Bell Ringers raise an average of $30 per hour - enough to provide a family with two bags of groceries, or shelter an individual for a night. The Red Kettle Campaign is an important fundraiser. Last year, the campaign brought in 61 percent of the total donations!

While our volunteers’ hands warm up, we’re all looking forward to ringing those bells again next year!
